USE YOUR ENERGY TO LEAD, NOT JUST TO SURVIVE THE DAY
Most people think regulating the nervous system requires big routines, long workouts, meditation sessions, breathwork classes, or a full evening reset. But the truth is that your brain responds far more quickly than you think. Small, 30-second practices done throughout the day can shift you out of stress mode, increase vagal tone, improve emotional regulation, and help your brain feel safe again.
The nervous system doesn’t change through intensity.
It changes through consistency and repetition.
Micro-practices are powerful because they meet your brain where it is, busy, tired, overwhelmed, or moving from one task to the next. And they remind the body, over and over, that safety is available.
Why Micro-Practices Work So Fast
Your nervous system is always scanning your environment for cues of safety or threat. This is called neuroception, and it happens before you’re consciously aware of it. When you use a micro-practice, you’re giving the brain a quick signal of safety. Even 20–30 seconds is enough to pull you out of fight, flight, or freeze and bring you closer to regulation.
These small resets also stack.
A few seconds in the morning, a few midday, and a few at night create a nervous system that stays more resilient, more flexible, and less reactive over time.
Micro-Practice #1: The 30-Second Physiological Sigh
Two short inhales + one long, slow exhale.
This is one of the fastest ways to decrease stress hormones and activate the vagus nerve. It works beautifully for kids, adults, and anyone who struggles with anxiety or overwhelm.
Micro-Practice #2: Vagus Nerve Touch Reset
Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
Apply gentle pressure and take one slow breath. This anchors the brain and sends a signal of safety through the gut–brain axis. Kids often respond instantly to this.
Micro-Practice #3: Eye Movement Reset
Look left.
Look right.
Repeat slowly for 20–30 seconds.
This simple movement tells the brain, “You are not in danger,” because you are scanning the environment just like you would after a threat has passed. It’s an incredibly fast way to shift out of a freeze response.
Micro-Practice #4: Humming or Low Tone Vocalization
Humming, chanting, or saying “mmm” for 20–30 seconds vibrates the vagus nerve.
It relaxes the throat, softens the diaphragm, and settles the brain. Kids love this one, especially during transitions.
Micro-Practice #5: Cold Splash or Cold Wrist Reset
Run cold water over your wrists for 15–20 seconds or splash cool water on your face.
This stimulates the dive reflex, which rapidly lowers heart rate and calms the system.
Micro-Practice #6: The 30-Second Shake Out
Shake your arms, legs, shoulders, and hands for half a minute.
This releases stored tension and disrupts stress chemistry. Animals do this naturally, and it works just as well for humans.
Micro-Practice #7: Orienting to the Room
Turn your head slowly and name three things you see.
This brings the brain out of internal overwhelm and back into the present moment. It’s one of the fastest ways to interrupt spiraling thoughts.
Micro-Practice #8: The Gratitude Shift
Put your hand on your chest and name one thing you appreciate—even something tiny.
Gratitude increases prefrontal cortex activity within seconds and pulls the brain out of survival mode.
Micro-Practice #9: Mouth Relaxation Reset
Drop your tongue from the roof of your mouth and let your jaw soften.
This immediately signals to the nervous system that the threat has passed. Many people unknowingly stay braced all day.
Micro-Practice #10: The 4-Point Touch Anchor
Touch thumb to index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and pinky, slowly.
Repeat twice.
This grounds the brain and regulates sensory processing almost instantly.

TESTIMONIALS
The coaching sessions with Claudia and her short and simple exercise routines have shown me the value of making time and space to really think deeply about an issue rather than rushing from one meeting or task to another. The dynamic in my team is changing to more clarity, connection, and better performance.

I find your program simply awesome! It’s easy to integrate into a workday, and the relaxation today was phenomenal. Even though I know the techniques already, it was still different, and I felt so good afterwards.

Everyone said it was great. Your personal story was inspiring, and the techniques are spot on, especially in stress management. The 4 proven methods, Breathe, Movement, Tension Map, and Activating the Senses, were particularly helpful. The session provided valuable strategies for well-being and performance.
